Emma Harding has worked as a communications consultant for the last 13 years. Following completion of her MA in English Literature, she joined a large recruitment advertising and communications agency. While there, she gained extensive experience working with numerous clients to develop and deliver varied communications projects. These ranged from producing a recruitment brochure for a local authority to devising and project-managing the communication of an employee referral scheme for a financial services organisation.

Since leaving this organisation over a year ago, she has worked as an independent consultant delivering a marketing campaign to raise the profile of foster care in west Cheshire as well as review and revise their assessment process, plus numerous writing projects and research activities.

She says, "being a communications specialist for a market-leader was a great experience but increasingly (it seemed to me) clients seemed to be looking for an intimate and ever-more agile approach in preference to the weighty credentials of a larger organisation. And so, the seeds of Hilltop Communications were born, out of the deep-seated realisation that my expertise and passion would best be harnessed under my own steam. It was an epiphany of sorts from which I haven’t looked back. Why would I, when the view from the Hilltop is so bright?"
